6FootStories is a new writing theatre company devoted to telling weird and wonderful tales. I co-founded 6FootStories with Jake Hassam, and here is a collection of publicity material and other bits and pieces that will hopefully give some flavour of what we do.

This was written for a friend of mine. It's largely based on a complaint she was making about a friend of hers. I've made it slightly twisted, but the essence is very true to our initial conversation.

Live Like Pigs

Performed at the Drill Hall in April, this was one of my third year shows with the Oxford School of Drama. It told the story of a family of travellers in the 50s who are forced to move into a council house next door to a "normal" northern family. Chaos ensues, and I played a chap called Blackmouth, a Romany gypsy on the run from the police who takes refuge at the travellers' house for a short while and makes things a great deal worse. It was a wonderful show, complete with its own gypsy band who played some great tunes, mainly written by myself and the lovely Tim Dorsett.
